20 Years of Dedication and Connection

Congratulations to Jacintha on reaching 20 years with Supply Chain Canada!

Originally from Ireland, Jacintha immigrated to Canada with a background in governance and association management and joined the National Team in 2005. In her role, as Corporate Secretary & Manager, Executive Leadership Team, she works closely with the President & CEO, the National Board of Directors, Board Committees, and the Operations Committee.

“The opportunity to collaborate with our members, volunteers, and staff—both nationally and across the Institutes—has been amazing. The people and the sense of shared purpose are what have kept me passionate about my work at SCC over the years.”

The Joy of Collaboration

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jacintha highlighted the people she meets across the country.

“Before COVID, national board meetings were held in person and rotated across the provinces, giving the Board the opportunity to meet local Institute Boards and members. A networking event followed each meeting, creating wonderful opportunities to connect, share insights, and strengthen relationships across the organization.”

Memories that Stand Out

One highlight from Jacintha’s career was celebrating Supply Chain Canada’s 100th anniversary in Montreal, Quebec.

“That milestone was an opportunity to celebrate our long-standing legacy as the principal source of supply chain training, education, and professional development in Canada. It was a proud moment to reflect on how we engage our members and ensure their voices help shape the future of the profession.”

Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Jacintha shares a joyful connection to her Irish roots.

“Like many Irish children, I took Irish dancing lessons growing up and became a champion Irish dancer, winning numerous competitions. I still enjoy attending the occasional Ceilidh—it’s a wonderful way to reconnect with my roots and the joy of dance.”
