Supply Chain Canada and Loblaw Supply Chain Announce Women Leading Supply Chain Award

June 17, 2026

Québec City, QC — May 28, 2026 — Supply Chain Canada is proud to announce the launch of the Women Leading Supply Chain Award, sponsored by Loblaw Supply Chain, as part of the new Women in Supply Chain Initiative.

The award was announced during the 2026 Supply Chain Canada National Conference in Québec City by Robert Howell, representing Loblaw Companies Ltd., as part of a plenary session focused on the Women in Supply Chain partnership and the future of leadership across the profession.

The Women Leading Supply Chain Award is a forward-looking initiative designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional women who are transforming the supply chain industry through innovation, leadership, and impact. The award will spotlight women who are excelling in their roles while helping redefine what leadership looks like across procurement, logistics, operations, planning, and digital supply networks.

The award reflects a shared commitment between Supply Chain Canada and Loblaw Supply Chain to building a stronger, more innovative, and more inclusive future for the supply chain profession. By elevating women in the field, the initiative aims to support new perspectives, strengthen leadership pathways, and contribute to a more robust talent pipeline for the industry.

“At Loblaw, our supply chain is fundamental not only to our business success, but also to our purpose of helping Canadians Live Life Well,” said Robert Howell during the announcement. “For our supply chain to be truly resilient and effective, it must reflect the diversity of the communities we serve every day.”

The Women Leading Supply Chain Award will be presented for the first time in 2027. The program is intended to serve as both recognition and inspiration, honouring trailblazers while encouraging the next generation of women to pursue and thrive in supply chain careers.

As the inaugural award approaches, organizations will be encouraged to identify and support candidates who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and impact within the profession. Beyond recognition, the award aims to help build a stronger and more inclusive future for the industry, one where leadership reflects the diversity of the world it serves.

Nominations will open in fall 2026, with further details on eligibility, submission requirements, and judging criteria to be announced soon.

Supply Chain Canada looks forward to continuing this important partnership with Loblaw Supply Chain and advancing the work of recognizing, supporting, and elevating women across Canada’s supply chain community.
