The Owl Solutions and Supply Chain Canada Celebrate Supply Chain Heroes Awards™

Toronto, October 27, 2022

Supply chain heroes who exhibited partnership, collaboration, innovation and sacrifice during the COVID-19 pandemic were celebrated Friday evening by Supply Chain Canada and The Owl Solutions. 4Refuel Canada, Greenfield Global and Regional Oil Sands Operating Alliance (ROA) were honoured with the 2022 Supply Chain Heroes Award ™ recognizing pandemic heroes who stepped up to keep the supply chain going throughout unprecedented times. The award recipients were nominated by industry peers, in three categories: public or private organizations, teams, and individuals.

More than 20 supply chain professionals gather for a dinner event in downtown Toronto to celebrate the outstanding leadership of their industry selected peers.

"The supply chain heroes’ awards was yet another testament to the relentless and round the clock work that supply chains across the globe continue to deliver daily. The awards provided a moment to celebrate our sector and collective success while reflecting on the resilience shown by Supply Chain heroes who kept the Supply Chain going through unprecedented times.

As Supply Chain Canada continues to work on elevating the supply chain profession on multiple fronts, we need to collectively work and grow as a united sector and drive into the future together.

It is truly our moment to grow and shine as a united sector voice."

– Shalini Talwar, Board of Director for Supply Chain Canada

Larry Rodo, winner of the individual Supply Chain Heroes Award™ gave a moving speech at the event when collecting his trophy.

"Receiving this award is such an honour for our team. It goes without saying that I want all of my employees to feel safe, secure and supported every day—But living in the uncharted time period of a global pandemic transformed this from a want to a need. I am humbled that our dedicated efforts were recognized, because recognition is not the reason we do what we do. Rather, it is to give our employees a place they feel safe both mentally and physically safe, and ensure they are treated with respect, compassion and empathy as we navigate the uncharted territory of COVID-19.

It wasn’t an easy task, given our reach of 32 separate locations spread over 8 provinces and the state of Texas, but through diligence and teamwork, we made sure to constantly balance the employee experience with customer needs and business continuity."

Larry Rodo, CEO and President of 4Refuel.
