January 26 - April 27, 2022

This module provides a basic framework to assist in understanding and managing strategic sourcing initiatives in healthcare organizations. Topics include:

  • Spend and contract analysis

  • The sourcing process

  • Product standardization

  • Competitive and non-competitive sourcing

  • Contract award and management

  • Customer/supplier relationship management


Module 1 is a prerequisite for Module 2. It is not essential that Modules 1 and 2 precede Module 3, but the program was designed to flow in that particular order.

SPEAKERS
Renee McIntyre
Director, Purchasing and Supply Chain ENWIN Utilities Ltd.

Renée McIntyre is the Director of Purchasing and Supply Chain for ENWIN Utilities Ltd. (ENWIN), the licensed electricity distribution company serving customer in the City of Windsor. EWNIN also maintains a contract of service with Windsor Utilities Commission to operate and maintain the water system that services customers in Windsor, Tecumseh and Lasalle. In her current role, Renee is responsible for the overall supply chain operations for ENWIN including purchasing, contract management and inventory management. Prior to her role at ENWIN, Renée was the Director of Supply Chain for TransForm Shared Service Organization, which provides supply chain and IT services to the five hospitals in the Erie St Clair LHIN. In that role, Renée was responsible for the operations of the supply chain division including strategic sourcing, procurement, value analysis, logistics and innovation procurement. Renée has served in a variety of healthcare leadership roles over the past 20 years, including 14 years in healthcare supply chain. Renée has earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor, along with a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional designation from the Supply Chain Management Association of Ontario.

FAQ

What is the cancellation policy?

A full refund will be issued on cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the module start date; thereafter, no refund is available. An administration fee of $150.00 is applicable if notification is received between three and nine days prior to start date. Transfers to future sessions are permissible when received in writing three business days before the module start date. Transfer credits must be used within one year of original purchase date.
