DESCRIPTION

Join us for an overview of the history and impacts that have led us to today and our current focus on Indigenous Procurement. We will explore and learn about the impact of the Indian Act on Indigenous economic development and sustainability, and share resources for you to access so you can develop your own understanding of the factors driving current state.

We will also introduce a high level cross section of Indigenous businesses available to serve large and small organizations, along with the different types of organizational structures that you may connect with in seeking to do business with Indigenous organizations. You will learn from examples of current corporations who are including Indigenous businesses in their supply chain and leave the session inspired and informed.
