DESCRIPTION

This webinar is offered in English

The Government of Canada is currently leveraging digital technology and analytics to develop a Regulatory Evaluation Platform.

The Platform is designed to increase the accessibility of regulatory information by enabling the navigation of the entire federal regulatory inventory.

The Platform includes search functions designed to assist the user with the identification of regulatory requirements relevant to specific industry sectors.

The Platform also enables the assessment of the regulatory cumulative impact on select industry sectors by applying macroeconomic models to regulatory outputs.

Transport Canada is leading this initiative in partnership with KPMG and several federal departments.

Next phase of work includes:

  • The creation of an industry interface to improve access for businesses to regulatory information
  • Improving the access to standards referenced in federal regulations
  • Exploring a solution for the assessment of regulatory cumulative impact on supply chains.

The session could also include a short demonstration of the REP Prototype if there is interest.
